Our hearts break too often as we see our children fall away from the faith and then see our grandchildren grow up without any faith at all.  We ache as we see fewer priests and fewer people believing in the true presence in the Eucharist.

Holy Family Ranch is on a mission to provide a place for youth and families to encounter Jesus.  At Holy Family Ranch, thriving ministries will turn the tide of the culture.  It will be a place that sparks new vocations and transforms hearts.   

 

If you haven’t heard of it, V2 Ministries summer camp is an Omaha-based camp for young men and their fathers to grow in the faith.  Did you know that this summer 87 young men at this camp indicated openness or a potential call to the priesthood or religious life?

 

Imagine what it would do for our parishes if we had that many men join the seminary.  Imagine what our Archdiocese would be like if many more families encountered Jesus at a place like Holy Family Ranch and became missionaries in their own neighborhoods.   

 

V2 Ministries, and other ministries like it, need a Catholic facility if they are going to expand their ministries.

 

Let’s dream a little. 

 

God is calling us to build a Catholic camp for the Omaha Archdiocese.   

 

The first step is acquiring the land.  We have the opportunity to acquire 150 acres of land in Scribner, NE for about $6,000 per acre.  This is why we are launching our path to 150.  We are inviting members of the Holy Family Ranch family to sponsor the purchase of one acre of land.   

 

We are also excited to announce that the very first acre is being sponsored by Archbishop George Lucas. Following his lead, we have already had many others join in the pledge to sponsor one acre.

Each person who purchases an acre of land will have their names displayed on our Path to 150 infographic, which will be turned into a plaque that will hang at Holy Family Ranch forever.  Don’t want your name on the acre?  You can include your prayer intention instead!
